Although a vet probably could treat one as long as said vet believed 100% that the animal was not going to be released.

We are seeing a vet tomorrow about one of the cats, so I'll ask the question, but I think I know the answer.

As far as I'm concerned he should be treated like a python, or a crocodile, or a giant panda. Humane imprisonment for life and let them die of old age - unless one of our cats gets him first

If he's not injured I'd just release him and not talk about it. Cage is no place for a wild animal.

He doesn't have fleas. He might have some contagious deseases that we or the cats could pick up, but so far so good.

He's a wild animal that won't survive in the wild. He is too tame, he makes no attempt to escape. He would rather run around me and sleep in a pocket in my chair than go on the ground.

He is also vermin. He is the mallalian equivalent of Japanese knotweed or blue algae.

It's a luxury prison or a broken neck. No other choices exist.
