I'm selling the roof cover for a BMW Z3, only selling as I don't own the car any more. It's listed on eBay here www.ebay.com
Hi, there's magnets stitched into the edges, behind the liner, so unlikely to scratch the car (my car was fine) there's also a security that gets shut behind the door gap so it can't be taken off without opening the doors, I copied this from the makers advert "soft top tailored half cover has been designed to fit easily using a concealed magnetic fixing system. Made from a PU coated woven polyester it is totally waterproof providing complete protection from the outside elements. The cover is secured to your vehicle and cannot be removed without unlocking the car"Im afer one of them, how does it fix to car?
As you have said, mine is held in tight by the boot lid, and similarly at the front by the bonnet. There's no way that the doors come into any of this however.IIt has a bead that is trapped in the forward edge of the boot and the front part is held under the wipers. This is all that is needed to hold it in place, but you can also make it captive under the corners of the bonnet and the leading and trailing edges of the doors, but it is nearly impossible to actually get it to be held by the doors, and frankly, that functionality is not required.
