Took the cover off the heated rear screen switch panel to see whether it was connected as car doesn’t have hardtop and discovered a couple of after market wires and the yellow blocks beneath as well as the connected heated rear screen switch.

Anyone have any idea what the yellow blocks are for? And is it normal to have the HRS switch with out the hard top?

Not sure about the aftermarket wires but it looks like your Zed may have originally come with a hardtop.

As Andy says there was a hardtop fitted at some time. A previous owner has sold the hardtop but not bothered to remove the heated rear window wiring. The yellow blocks I think connect to the 'roof up/down' switch. No idea about the aftermarket wires, you'll have to trace them back to see what/where they connect to.

Thanks both, quite fancy a hardtop living in rainy Yorkshire. The after market wires are linked to the console cigarette lighter presumably to power another one in this housing presumably based on the cut out, the hood up down switch works so not sure about the yellow unconnected ones, I’ll investigate further.

The yellow plugs are definitely the heated seat switch connectors. Some cars had them on the back not sure if from factory or relocated after.
