Bought one from bmw fitted it. Looks terrible aftermarket crap

Yes. I chopped some of the bottom part off. Had two metal L shaped brackets that fitted and just made it all fit

Never had one either, I had an auto, so could steer with one hand and a pint in the other ....

No probably not. But only cost £15. So a big saving
