I've seen the Z3/E36 ones that go in the centre console by the handbrake, and ones that attach to the dash or heater vents. I wouldn't like to put a hot drink there, but do they work?

As a tight Yorkshireman, I don't fancy spending £100 on a centre console one.

Which one provides best value for money?

I believe the OEM one was only around £50 a few months back

Take along your wife/girlfriend/partner/friend and get them to hold your cup :D.

Best advice is don't bother. Drink at a rest stop not in your car.

Tony.

The little tray area to the left of your handbrake holds a Costa cup just great

Here's mine, essential and works perfectly. Just keep your eyes on the road when using.

I have the center console cupholder, with 2 slots for cups. Not too good for anything larger than a small convenience store coffee cup for me. I rarely drink anything when I'm driving
