Worth getting if you have the fly by wire throttle, all you need then is the interface unit for about £50 and fifteen minutes work.

Hmmmh, how would I know of I have that throttle? Is anything else needed or coded?

I think all face lift that have ASC +T fitted have an electronic thottle control for that system to work and that's what the cruise control module operates, doesn't matter whether you have a throttle cable or not.

Switch and module required, plug and play no coding required.

Module will be a BMW dealer part and about £45

If you have drive by wire all you need is the switch and control ecu then it's plug and play ( no coding) if you have a throttle cable extra parts required.

Not the case on face lift cars as I mentioned, my car has a throttle cable from the pedal to the electronic thottle body, which is controlled when nessersary electronically by the ASC or the cruise control.
Cars that don't have Automatic Stability Control won't have an electronic thottle.

Think I might give it a shot. Any idea what the part number is for the other part I'll need if I buy the switch? Thanks

Thanks. I did look on real oem but wasn't quite sure which part it was that was needed in addition to the switch but the same part number that @Devon Z does appear.
