Had it on mine, never used it.
You had a soft top too and that never got used either!

I'd don't do much motorway work in my Z but if you do especially in our average speed zones then cruise is great. Radar cruise with auto speed control even better. You just have to wake up to steer then..

I find it handy when in average speed zones an motorway driving but still enjoy the loud pedal but nice to cruise at speed and pull out and pass other cars and let the car settle the speed on its own

Now I'm on the commuting drudge most days it will be heavily used. There are several points on the journey which it will be particularly useful, the bridge works on the A34 at Didcot and a ridiculously long 30 zone outside a village I go through.

Question Gaz I've never had a car with cruise control. I'm guessing once the cruise control is on if you brake or use the noise pedal the cruise control turns off !

It depends on the system, all systems will switch off when the brake pedal is pressed. Usually when you press the accelerator it will stay on, and when you back off the speed will drop and resume to your set speed. This works that way as far as I can tell, plus you can push/pull on the stalk to increase/decrease speed to.

Almost all my driving here is hiway and with a b******* right knee CC is going to be a blessing. Wish I had a newer model as my 97 requires many more parts. I have most now just need a few small pieces. JIM

I have cruise in the Saab and on my truck. Use it all the time, I don't have it on my Zed although I'd like it but money won't allow it at the moment. Maybe a future project but really need to address the suspension and brakes first.

To be honest there is just to much heavy traffic over here, most of the motorways are just glorified duel carriageways, towns are merging into each other, so you are hardly ever out of a built up area and the traffic is basically your cruise control.
Its great on the German autobahn but obviously not something you do every day.

Nice to have it though! Without CC you'll never know how often you'll use it but once installed it's an option when you want it. As I said in my circumstance it's a blessing and I can't wait to get it hooked up this spring! JIM
