hit a pot hole on the A645 omg went right through me made it worse cos of run flats.
im quiet sure if a bike hit this it would bring them of.
i went back the next day took a photo of a coke tin in the hole and there wasnt much showing of the tin.
called into the local council and told them and showed them.
well well well would you believe it still the same hole a week later.
it does make my blood boil.
RANT OVER.

You should see the pot holes we have in Winterpeg when the snow goes. They literally shut down streets. They simply can't fix them fast enough. Last winter was the longest coldest on record for over 100 yrs and I'd gladly take your one hole over the thousands on our streets and highways. The frost last winter penetrated 8-12 ft and we didn't get enough hot days this summer to thaw the water lines and some people are still without running water after 8-9 months. Sorry! Rant over!! Googy, if I were you, assuming that you haven't, I would get your wheels checked for cracks at a tyre centre. We see literally LOTS of cracked BMW wheels at work through large pot hole damage. The council concerned would be liable to replace them I understand but don't leave it too long.:(

What they are referring to is 'pothole' and the Latin word for it is 'pothole' :). A pothole is a large hole in the road which seems to get bigger the longer it is there but council workers cannot see it unless they actually hit one themselves. Mechanics love potholes cause it brings in lots of money, a kind of 'money tree' as it were. Please do not confuse it with 'pot hole' which is similar to 'cake hole' or 'pie hole'. Below is a typical Queensland pothole which went unnoticed for several weeks until this happened.
