Not surprising really, 1 day without rain is considered a drought.

We are having this issue water pressure has been really dire.Last week it was that low even the combi boiler did not recognize water flow so it was impossible to get hot water upstairs and the shower struggled to raise a trickle.
We have had the issue on and off for 2 weeks and always seemed to start at 6:30pm, but with the wetter weather the issue has resolved.

Water, road,rail,the problem is much of our infrastructure is Victorian or older and is really no longer up to the job.

No water shortage, plenty of that, just an inability to get it processed and pumped due to demand. That said, the often dire state of some of the distribution network means too great an amount is pumped directly into the ground through leaks. Then, they increase the pressure and more pipes break.
Severn Trent don't have a great record.
In Ashfield where my parents live, they were handing out bottled water for many days and delivering it to vulnerable people - yet, my housebound parents didn't see any such offer.

The 20” water main running from Kielder Water to what was the former ICI chemical works site here in Billingham runs alongside my drive, so we have no water pressure problems.
:whistle::whistle::whistle:
