Hey folks! I’ve been looking for a front bumper. As I have a cracked corner on mine. And it’ll be around £300 to repair, and have it painted. This has popped up for £50. I’m trying to figure out if it’ll work on mine? Can you tell by the pictures if it’s correct for wide body? Mine is 2000 - this is 2001?

It will fit yes, although the one in the photos is a 1.9 bumper so has a smaller mouth/grill than 2.0, 2.2, 2.8 or 3.0 versions

@Pond has a blue one I think. If your car is a 6cyl that bumper will make it look like a 4cyl!

Thanks guys. That clears that up for me. That Bumper is from a 1.9. Mine is 2.0 6cyl. Thank you for your help.

I do but mine has cut-outs for washer jets and does need a little 'tidying' on the front lip. I don't seem to be able to give it away! It can't sit in the garden forever; the tip is calling.

. . . . It can't sit in the garden forever; the tip is calling.
I tried taking mine to the tip but they saw me unloading and ran over and told me they won't take any car parts. Said they don't have the necessary licence 🤷‍♂️

I asked if I could at least put the metal brake disks in the metal scrap. Nope.

I will look forward to the encounter with the 'skip rats', then. I have been banned from two separate municipal tips before, so getting good at it. I got an official looking 'ASBO' type bit of paper from one of them. I phoned the Council and told them I would be cancelling my Council Tax DD if I can't use the tip. They overturned my banning order. :)

There are a couple of pictures of them on the above thread. Small dent in the middle lower lip and a bit of 'gravel rash'. No dents or other damage.

You should have told them It wasn't a bumper, and that it was a garden ornament that pond gave you... What are you supposed to do with it then, just curious ?...

Cut the bloody things up and put a piece, ot two, in your dust bin each week. I got rid of a wheel barrow that way when they said they wouldn't take it. Guess what? They did!

Tony.

 What? I couldn't do anything like that!

BTW. My front bumper strangely disappeared bit by bit over a couple of weeks and now it's happening to the back one. Mice maybe. Big ones. 🤷‍♂️
