Convertible top issue

Hi! New member here, I have a 97 Z3 2.8, with a manual top. The passenger side hold down clamp is not working, and I don't how to get to it to repair it. It could be just a spring, it is just loose. I have a used clamp, don't can't get to the mechanism to replace it. I've looked all over the 'net, and can't find any reference to it. TIA for your help.

Looks like the left folding top lock is no longer available so if it needs replacement you will need to source one from a breaker, few guys on here who brak Z's so they are your best bet for a replacement. There is some adjustment on these locks, not sure myself how it works but no doubt an expert will be along soon.

It's not much, but it's how the adjustment works!

There should be adequate tension on the locking mechanism for the roof to make a perfect seal against the top of the windscreen. If it's too loose you may find water gets through. You may of course find it's too tight and difficult to...

Just noticed @jillier138 is over the pond in USA so our breakers may not be viable to him if he needs a replacement part, I said an an expert would be along, thanks @GazHyde for posting that link that should put him on the right course to fix it.
