Now that the drama of my car breaking its springs is resolved, I thought some of you might be interested to see a comparison of my car on both Sport and Standard springs. So here's the two photos. Isn't it interesting how winter light changes the colour of the car?

As far as I can see, there is a slight increase in rear ride height, but the front looks just the same. In terms of using the car the change has made no difference at all to the feel of the car.

Can't you just keep your sport springs on the back to keep it level - the rear end will out perform the front.

But I've only got one rear and one front sport spring. One of each snapped and I can't get replacements. So either the car is permanently laid up or I fit standard springs. What would you do?

In those circumstances you can’t do any other, I don’t think Adrian knew you had broken one of each.

That looks really odd and a lot higher at the back, just looks very wrong

You could take out the spring pads on the rear - should give you around 10mm drop (or more - I think the ratio is something like 1.6 - is 10mm pad =16mm difference in ride height).
I run mine without the pads.
