This is the descent into Queenstown, New Zealand . It must take great faith in your instruments to pilot an approach like this but the rush must be amazing.

I can't embed the video but it's worth watching - only 4 mins of your life;)

They have awesome brakes too don't they? The power of computers is amazing to be able to "see" through that cloud, sometimes you get similar going down through storms into Orlando or Miami. Once we left Manchester going out to Florida and seemed to be heading in a different direction than normal when we were told that we had to pick up from Newcastle. Anyway it was foggy around Newcastle , you knew that we were descending but couldn't see anything to get your bearings, suddenly I spotted the tops of telegraph poles and then a thump as we touched down,. I've never heard so much screaming.

When we first went to Fla. you could still ask to go to the cockpit and I think they would've allowed Carla to have a look, but we didn't and how could have guessed what was to come in the future where the cockpit is like Fort Knox.:(
