Checking for fault codes today after the 2.8 had been throwing up various codes indicating air leaks and 02 sensor issues.

They now appear to have been resolved but I checked today and got a

Clutch Switch 26 fault.

Not a fault I have come across before. Any ideas?

Thanks.

A faulty clutch switch can cause the engine rpm to rise by about 1500 rpm during gear changes - my 2.8 had this problem at about 12000 miles, and was fitted with a modified switch and wiring.

That’s interesting- could it be the cause is the ‘rev hang’ some cars exhibit?
Is its TU engine only thing or is on all cars - cable throttle and fly by wire?

From what I can tell. one side of the clutch switch goes to the cruise control, however the other side should probably be a ground for the starter circuit. Does anybody have a good copy of the wiring Diagram? I only have the troubleshooting one.
Thanks!
