Clutch squeak

I thought I would rid myself of a squeak when I pushed the clutch pedal, so got the footwell panel off,
then Lights - Mirror - Action .....with some maintenance spray....did it stop ....NO.

Got the wife to push the pedal a couple of times .....once we agreed that the clutch pedal was the left one !!
And realised that the squeak is from inside the bell housing. So either the thrust bearing or the clutch housing.........

Is this evidence of impending doom.....??????

mines been doing this for years, but when the weather is cooler it goes away. it had a clutch overhaul before I brought it so I would hazard a guess its not impending doom.

Mine has had a similar sort of noise and I tried WD and some penetrating oil around the clutch pedal but that didn't fix the noise. That was 3 years ago when I first got the zed and no damage has been done since.

Have same issue, only happens when the interior of the car is hot. Roll on winter.

I also need to sort a clutch squeak. Have read changing the bushings can cure it and that the ones to go for are oiled bronze ones, as opposed to poly or delrin. So prob give that a try at some point.

yeh polly squeaks, my lower arm polly bushes creak when hot, I really need to get them out and grease them its just getting around to it (though there prob knackered now as I have been lazy)

you know in hindsight we should have all said OMG you got the dreaded clutch squeak and sat back watching the panic unfold, but were not like that really
