Hi all
Z3 1.9 1998 manual. Today I found it hard to get the car in gear. After a short time I noticed the clutch wasn't popping back to the top of its travel with the same vigure as normal, within a couple of minutes it was fine. The clutch itself feels fine , no slipping. Is there some cable or linkage that needs lubricant? Thanks all

Tryputting your toe under the pedal and lifting it back to the top. Check the brake/clutch fluid level Trev (same resevoir) to see if the level has dropped, indicating a possible leak.

Tony.

The hose itself can deteriorate internally and cause that symptom, as can leaks, but Tony beat me to it.

Checked and the level seems fine. Not sure about the state of the fluid. Looked a bit dirty.

Should be changed every 2/3 years; do you know when it was last done?
Yes about 2.5 years ago when all my brake lines and calipers where changed, well I assume it was changed then. Might be time for a refresh. I take it this is a bleed nipple and pumping the clutch/ brake activity ! 😊
