1998 z3 2.8 with 57k miles. when I push the clutch there is a squeaking noise coming from like under the car. I've done some research and it seem to be and issue with the clutch's cylinder? the one that is attached to the tranny. please correct me if im wrong.
thanks.

Squeaks are usually something needing lubricated. Best to get it on Jack stands and track the noise from underneath. Don’t have the engine running, obviously. That completely rules out the bearing since it would make noise when running.

make sense, the car was sitting still for idk how many years. after doing some research, other people said it may be the spring clutch but I don't think the tis the case here cuz I can hear the noise coming from underneath the car. clutch master maybe? thanks
