Hi knowledgable ones,
I have a clunk in between gears and if I depress the clutch when the car is moving, It seems to be coming from underneath towards the rear. It is at its worse between 1st and 2nd gears. I just took my mate for a spin who is pretty handy mechanically. He reckons it may be either a prop mounting or diff mounting.

Any suggestions? Is this common?

Any help, much appreciated.

Cheers all,

Joolz

Either of those are possible, mine needs a propshaft donut and diff mount replacing. No clunk at the moment but doesn't make for a super smooth change.

There are a few other things it could be so a good inspection underneath should be the next point of call.

Prop joint would be my first port of call then diff mounts.
