Now isn't this interesting. Is this the sort of thing a young sexy UK girl is really thinking about?

WHAT IS THAT SHE'S HOLDING? I think all you boys on the other side of the pond would find this
extremely insulting. Shouldn't she be holding its European counterpart. I'm just an observer, but it
must be her idea of a real sport. Don't blame ME!!!!!!!

Frankie,

All Rugby enthusiasts know that American Footballs a "Girlies Game".... Hence a girlie holding the ball.

While we are talking sport.... I've always wondered how America can hold the baseball "World Series" which excludes any team that isn't from America taking part???? Isn't that odd????

Just asking!

Rugby: easy.

American football played by proper men without the use of all that ridiculous body armour and helmet nonsense.

Basically american football is "rugby light" for British girls or American boys, played almost exclusively in the USA and specifically designed for the shorter american attention span.

football: played by actually kicking the ball (hence the name) which is round to facilitate even flight and bounce...not to be confused with ridiculous aforementioned "american football" which only lives up to one aspect of its title... football unlike its American counterpart actually requires skill hence everyone else in the world plays it better than the english despite the fact we invented it. ditto tennis and cricket.

The United Kingdom: The country that unwittingly and accidentally spawned aforementioned USA and has regretted it ever since (except for when the germans taught them to make a decent motor car and when they helped us to beat aforementioned germans in WW2).

irony: what the Americans call sarcasm and the general tone of this post (as well as being condescending and superior);)

The Rules Explained.

You have two sides, one out in the field and one in. Each man that's in the side that's in goes out, and when he's out he comes in and the next man goes in until he's out. When they are all out, the side that's out comes in and the side that's been in goes out and tries to get those coming in, out. Sometimes you get men still in and not out.
When a man goes out to go in, the men who are out try to get him out, and when he is out he goes in and the next man in goes out and goes in. There are two men called umpires who stay out all the time and they decide when the men who are in are out. When both sides have been in and all the men have been out, and both sides have been out twice after all the men have been in, including those who are not out, that is the end of the game

It's easy!

Wait, wait, wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hold your horses. Which car are you referring to when you said: "except for when the germans taught them to make a decent motor car". What decent motor car? All my life, I grew up around American cars. People used to celebrate if their car made it to 100k miles. It was so unusual, an event. Then the Jap cars started coming on the market. My uncle was an independent food broker and spent a lot of time on the road. He was one of the first to buy and drive a Toyota Corolla. He put over 300K miles on it. He had to take people over to his car and show them the odometer to prove it because no one believed him. My father had the same job. He bought a vauxall (spelling?) and loved it. The American car manufactures refused to follow the lead of the foreign car companies who were giving the people what they wanted. GM and Ford owned the companies that manufactured all the parts for their cars and refused to stop selling the same big boats they were making 'cause it would mean re-tooling all these companies. So, compared to the foreign cars, they were putting out a far inferior product. They lost a large part of the American market. It was always easy to get into a big argument here if you bought a foreign car because you weren't "buying American". But people aren't stupid. They couldn't AFFORD to buy a car that would last 3 years when they could spend the same amount and buy a car that lasted 8 or 10 or more years. I came from very poor beginnings. After my father died I ran a 100 pound jackhammer in the streets of Philadelphia, and then at night worked as a supermarket clerk the nights I wasn't going to school finishing my college. Most of the cars I owned were either given to me broken or on their last leg. I had to shy away from American cars because they had no value. I had 2 VW beetles 3 diesel rabbits, and Austin America, 2 fiats, 2 Renaults, and one or two others I can't think of at the moment. I did have one Pontiac. A few of these I never got running. So you'd have to go a long way to explain which one was the decent motor car the Americans made. GM did come out with a great 350 cu.in. v8 that lasted longer that the cars they were in. But who could afford them once the gas prices went up. Also, my brother bought a Bently (spelling) which I thought was one of the most beautifully made cars I've ever seen.

The Z3's and some Z4's were built in America.

They're not so bad!

I was only thinking of American cars made by Americans. I couldn't agree with you more. Honda and Toyota have plants here also and it has helped their sales because Americans can now say "this car was made in America" to get their antagonists off their backs.
