Looking to de-tango my facelift 99 2.8 Z3 headlights. Existing are in good shape, so will take out the amber lenses after splitting, but would be good to add the clear inserts.

Clear indicator head lights carry a premium price you never really see them split.

I know, thought its worth a try before I stick them back together! You never know, someone might have some poor condition or damaged clear full units that could be split. A long shot granted 🤞

I thought I saw somewhere that someone had managed to source or make clear inserts? Might be imagining it though.

I'm about to make clear ones for mine, I'll do you a "how to" if you like.
It won't be a cheap thing to do, the materials are a bit expensive for a one off. Not to mention it's time consuming to do it properly.
Mine is pre facelift so my moulds won't be compatible.

@Southernboy had some made and was selling sets a few years back but I believe he stopped doing them.
