These headlamps were removed from Trudy, my 2.2 I bought as a write-off and restored. She was in a light front-end and the headlamp mounts did their job and predictably sheared off (they're designed to).
I recovered the vast majority of the broken mounts and glued it all back together with araldite. On 2 of the mounts I improvised with some extra plastic. They are almost ready to go back on a car. But there is a small amount of work to complete on a couple of the mounts. And you may choose to add additional reinforcement plates.
I think I've done a strong repair. But obviously I'm not going to guarantee anything.
This is a cheap and hopefully acceptable way into a pair of clear headlamps for someone. Obviously you can't see the repairs with the bonnet down.
