Wet and dry etc? i have a da polisher if i can utilise that as well? Where is the best place to buy some lacquer, rattle can ok or would i need a spray gun etc? Thanks all.

Unlikely you will be able to do that without damaging the paint.

I have a little lacquer peal on my rear spoiler. Told by a body shop that the only solution is a repaint. Would also be interested in any advice.

You can't strip lacquer and just re-lacquer - you always have to totally repaint.

Rub lacquer down with very fine emery paper with plenty of water then repaint .The bodyshop did this on my Jag XK and the results were fine.
