Lockdown jobs today on the Z4, used my Meguiars pack starting with the wash gel then dried using a towel, paint cleaner then applied panel by panel, followed by polish panel by panel then finished off with Carnauba wax, quite work intensive but happy with the results paint now feels so smooth and looks glossy. Finished off giving the rubbers a coating of Gummifledge all round then turned attention to replacing the 8mm self tapping screws in the front arch liners. I was fed up with the rusty look of these and sourced some stainless steel 8mm head screws and some stainless washers to replace them. The replacement screws are self drilling screws but work quite well in the locating holes on the car. Did manage a short drive out in order to collect Meds from the Chemists, great pity it wasn't further with todays nice weather.

We need our monthly drug collection from our local Doctor's Pharmacy (10 miles return) and I was hoping I would get a drive out in my Z to go and collect them. However I have been banned by wife and daughter from going for them. Seriously getting withdrawal symptoms now.:(:(:(

Tony.

ps. Might have a trip to Ourgate tomorrow just for the hell of it.;)

I have quite a bit of Meguiars stuff, bought it cheap at a Super Target store in Kissimmee so its well travelled. I particularly like the Carnauba wax.

Cleaning your car seems to be getting more involved as well as expensive, I remember the day when all you had was a sarchet of Zipwax shampoo and some Turtle Wax.
