After a great run out yesterday in the Peaks decided to clean the Zed including under the bonnet (hood to you Frankie). Looks better now than when we got home yesterday.

Unfortunately whilst having a look around I found a split hose...

New one now ordered from Mark @ Sopers of Lincoln. Interestingly even though I can hear the air being sucked in there is no warning light on the dash. Reading other posts about this problem I'd have thought I'd have a warning light. Not complaining though:)

Never had a warning light on the 2.0 or the 2.2 and they were both split there and needed replacing. I noticed the sucky noise, and slightly rough running though.

It has to be a gaping big hole for it to throw up an error but these kind of splits just cause a little lumpy idle.

There was never an error code on ours. I would think you will find some more perished bits when you get it off. Not a bad job but don't forget to plug all the wires back in fully as they don't run well if you leave one off!!:(

It does look good.

New hose received today from Sopers and now fitted. Not the easiest job, very tight in there, but all done now.

Repairing cars can be a bruising occupation Mint. Glad you got it all done OK. Changed the plugs on an 05 plate Jag 3.0 V6 the other day, that was painful.
