Classic car insurance?

Hi all, doing a bit of research on insurance, think when I get my Z3 it's going to be quite pricey as I have another car which uses my NCD :-/ Do any of you have your Z on classic insurance? Not sure if it's got to be 20 years old to qualify for classic? Thanks for any advice

You could do a multi car policy where they mirror your existing ncb on your daily car.

Thought we had hit the jackpot there as I'm with DirectLine and they do multi car...unfortunately the Z will be parked at my Mums house and they will only cover cars kept at the same address.....damn!! But thankyou

You'll be very surprised. As long as your are over a certain age they are very cheap to insure. Mine is a second car (2.8) and when I bought it was a fresh policy with zero no claims. I paid £213 for the first year. 5 years no claims I'm paying £180. That's inflation for you.!

Yeah been quoted £300 with no NCD just picked a random Z3 off ebay to get a quote so can probably get it lower when I know exactly which car I'm getting!

Just insured my 3.0. Churchill wouldn't mirror the NCD but still came in at £240 with no NCD.

Just renewed my insurance for 4th year with Classicline. 5k miles classic policy including UK and Europe breakdown cover. £232 for 1999 2.8ltr. Also have agreed valuation of £5k valid for 2 years which cost £20 extra.
