Cigerette lighter help

Guys advice please how do you remove the Cigerette lighter am trying to hard wire the satnav into the supply but for the life of me I don't seem to be able to remove the lighter

Mines just a tight push fit Baz. You may have to lever it up with a small flat blade to get it started, best of luck...

The power to the cigarette lighter is on all the time and not controlled by the ignition switch so be careful!

Don't forget the ciggy lighter is always on in the Z3.
I wired our dash cam from the spare switched supply on the radio wiring harness, assuming you have an aftermarket radio. In this way the sat nav will only be powered when the ignition is on.

To remove the ciggy body, there are 2 x tabs inside that need to prized inwards with a small screwdriver and then it will pop out, and fitting is the reverse without blowing the fuse when pushing the screw driver in like did and have never replaced it to this day. But being non smoker and have never had anything to plug in has not bothered me.
Tip remove the fuse before starting the job!
