Has anyone got one knocking about?
It's normally the switch that goes so I'm hoping someone has a spare chrome knob from a faulty switch.

Hi, Can you bare with me for a couple of days as I am having trouble getting the knob off the switch. The new switch knob I have to replace my fitted defective switch will not come off the shaft and worried I may break as I remove it, so I have put some WD40 down the shaft to hopefully release it. Keep you updated

No problem, you have to pry the end of the chrome switch off (wide end) sharp knife in between and give it a twist and it will pop off. There is then a hidden nut holding the long chrome section to the shaft. When you have undone the nut you can unscrew the chrome section.
Why would you make it easy? Why not just a one piece knob that unscrews?
