For the slight difference in fuel costs I'd be taking the ///M Hugh.

Take the ///M Hugh, you might get a chance to use all that power!

Power is gooood power is nicccceee ,but it's much more relaxing in the 2.8 and the way I drive it uses almost 1/3 les fuel :(
That's the sensible Hugh talking, what does the wild at heart red blooded Welsh man think?

I'd take the 2.8 much more relaxing to drive on a run  ......... BUT if you find some nice long twisty bits with some power straights between corners you'd wish you had taken the ///M =))

On a practical level, Which one has EU recovery insurance?

That M needs to get out more, all that mud plugging and grass racing you seem to be doing with it can't be good!

Some nice roads once you get out of Holland (just remember their contribution to the world apart from wooden shoes and cheese - the GATSO and various others!).

Do you have sports seats in the 2.8? I don't in mine and I will be crippled by the time we get there.
Done the Alps without sport seats but with the lift up mod,it was fine .in fact there's slightly more leg room in the 2.8

The ///M and GATSO's have a very turbulent relationship,I wouldn't call them friends.

To be fair I now have the seat mod fitted so I may say different when we get to Folkstone. Be great if it makes that much of a difference.
