Chevron on a z3

Hello,

Thinking about putting Chevron fuel cleaner on my 2001 z3. Anyone tried it? Is it good for a z3? Will it harm the car in anyway?

Do you mean a fuel additive that cleans the fuel system and injectors? If so, my experience is that those additives are safe.

Yes, it’s Techron fuel injector cleaner. Have you experienced any difference in the car after putting it?

I added a can of the BMW fuel injector cleaner recently because my fuel gauge wandered around all over the place, I read somewhere that the sensor in the tank could get varnished over from old gas. Did a few other things too. And yes, the fuel gauge works fine and holds steady now, so I’m going with that . I don’t notice any difference in performance, but it didn’t hurt anything either (I hope)

I've put redex through mine a couple of times - not sure it's "done" anything but didn't do any harm that's for sure.
