Hi all - I know this is a complete shot in the dark, but just looking for some quick tips/guidance before I spend $200 on a diagnostic. I bought my car 4 days ago and driven it about 100 miles since I bought it. Yesterday, the Check Engine light came on and wanted to see if anyone has any guidance on finicky things on this car that I should look at before I take it to get the diagnostic. Things like checking the gas cap or other simple fixes.

Please let me know!

The best thing to do is buy a code reader and see for yourself. It will pay for itself many times over.

I have a Foxwell NT530. You will also need an adapter cable to connect to the round port in the engine bay.
These are around $12 on eBay.
