Hi all, I want to change my handbrake button for a nice shiny chrome one, been told that it should unscrew but mine just seems to turn and click without coming off? Do I need to be more violent?!

What position is the lever in as you're trying to unscrew it?

Tony.

OK. Well that should be best then as it holds some pressure on the release mechanism. I would try clamping some "Mole" grips onto the button so you can pull and twist at the same time. Be very careful that they don't come off and hit you in the face though.

Tony.

I'll have you know I fitted my aerial and chrome dial rings all by myself .... while he fixed the seat bushes and recliner lever ;-)
