Do you know which model you have? Z3, Z4?

You must have had the codes read before changing the pump and relay. What did they show? Have you had the codes read since changing the pump and relay?

Why did you originally replace the pump and relay? Was it because of the hot start issue?

I don't think hot start problem would be a pump or relay issue would it?

Actually. My z3 sometimes needs a good long turn of the key when it's warm. I just assumed something is flooded. Too rich. Etc. Not often enough to be a major inconvenience though.

Do Z's have a cold start enrichment thing going on? Bit like an old fashioned choke? Maybe that's sticks. Too rich when engine is warm.

It’s a Z3, I haven’t checked the codes yet, I will do soon, the reason why was because I thought it was the pump so I changed both as a matter of cause

May check the temp sensor as it may not be working and thinking it’s cold but actually flooding it

Checking for fault codes before doing anything is the most sensible course of action. When the inlet cam position sensor was failing on my Z3, this was the main symptom, poor hot starting.
