My centre console facia is the “matt chrome” option (plastic), but it’s beginning to look pretty shabby and it really bugs me!

I’ve tried restoring/cleaning it with everything you can think of, but I’ve come to the conclusion it’s just deteriorated with old age.

I’m thinking maybe hydro dip, wrap, stickers or replace, but prefer to avoid taking out the whole centre console, plus I have the same trim on the steering wheel and door cards that are okay.

Perhaps I should just live with it, any suggestions please?

Hmmm. That might be too far gone but before you do anything expensive try Armor All Protectant.
I've seen that stuff work miracles and it'll only cost you about £6 to find out.

Custom Z3 Centre Consoles

Thanks for the suggestions, I have some Armor All Protectant and it looks good for about 5 minutes!
I think wrapping is the way to go.
 
Only way to wrap it perfectly is to remove it im afraid and that means removing the centre console completely.... when youve got to that stage then you might as well get it professionally dipped or whatever you want
 
are these "sticker" kits any good?


if they are i was thinking of drawing up a vector file myself and then seeing if i can get a vinyl place to print and cut out the decals for me to fit.

no idea if any of it is possible! :)
