Centre console

Hi guys,

I was looking to get rid of the smokers package in my centre console. Maybe buy an Oem front open bin. I was wondering if anyone had found a console delete option? By that I mean a thin piece of plastic to cover the bottom of the centre console eg screws holes. Just turning it into one big bin as it were. Any ideas?

I think the Z3M had some sort of cover in it like an anti slip mat which sat behind the ash tray. Because its covered in leather you can see where they have wrapped the leather upto in the bottom of the console so it's there to cover/neaten it up. You could just get some anti slip mat and cut it to size to put in and cover it but you may get a lump or hole under it where the screws sit.

You could use a piece of automotive carpet.
I use a cup holder which I purchased from America.

I have the same cup holder plus an armrest. Quite handy when you need to hold a McDonalds/KFC drink in the front one but the second one isn't that good unless it's a can. I normally have to wedge a second drink in the back compartment of it. Coin holder only works for USA coins

Any dealer should be able to order, I just phoned Cotswold BMW asked the guy in parts and he confirmed the 800 run and ordered it, its there now waiting to be picked up, @Oldguysrule told me about them.

Yep but that's that's just the replacement for the ashtray

No mate I don't sorry just phone your nearest BMW and ask for it, tell them Germany has a new run of 800 and they will check and confirm, worked for me.

@Nodzed I bought it from BMW today.

You were bang on about the price. For anyone else wanting this, it is a very good idea to get it now whilst it's available at this price.

You have to pay upfront and sadly no returns or so I was told anyway.

funny i was only saying to Ang.... yesterday we need some sort of cup holder.. and wondering what sort of thing we could rig up... i dont need the ash tray, or the one in the door, and every inch of space is so useful in these small cars...
