this is a new one for me but maybe others have seen it.

the hoses shown in as 7 and 3 below and think one other I can’t see on real oem need changing.

why?
Visually look fine and not leaking but they collapse under vacuum. If the car stands for a a few day they regain their shape.

only discovered the issue because the car went in for a leaking coolant hose that’s situated under the intake manifold.
The mechanic then noticed the pipes collapsed.

hard to photograph them as they are under the manifold and real oem diagrams look close but not quite right.
So to make sure I order the right ones I think I’ll have them take them all off the car and go to the BMW dealer to make sure they order the correct parts.

wondering if anyone else has done the same and can share experience?

There is a hydraulic hose place nearby that make up hoses - think it’s probably worth getting a quote for them to make it up as well just in case BMW is back order or silly ££

apparently these hoses deal with oil residue/vapour so need to be off a certain grade material.

I’ve got an M50 manifold on (the engine is M52B28 single vanos) and that had some hoses as part of the fitting ‘kit’ but they seem ok.

Oddly Godly

Put the part number in to autodoc and it looks like they list several.

This will be age mate; your zed runs at extreme levels compared to a normal 2.8 so you will find some oil in that line. Buy a replacement and make sure it's the winter pipe (aka the insulated version)
