Fortunately Paul had decided to make a
weekend of this and so we met up with Paul and Jacquie at Chesterfield on Saturday morning in glorious sunshine. A pleasant drive around the Peak District in the hot sun was followed by lunch at the Cottage Kitchen, Winkhill. However, as we were having lunch there was a good spell of rain followed by patchy rain after lunch as we drove back stopping at Weaver Hill with the tops up.
Sunday morning was dry and sunny, but quite cool after the last few days and we set up at Carsington with the tops down. By 11am it was starting to rain and got worse by lunch. At around 1.30 pm we gave up and left, but it seems to have dried up this afternoon.
