I am interested in getting a 2002 3.0 Auto in very good condition with genuin 52000 miles on clock but a bad bit of touching up on bonnet, nearside door speeker missing and upper prop shat coupling slightly deteriorated. Wondering what peeps. think its value is as it has been said over ther years on here that autos do not comand the same sort of price as manuals whichn is the type that I have had but like the colour of this one in place of my titan silver 3.0 .
Look forward to yur thoughts. Geoff

I bought my 3 litre (manual) with 54k in October 2023 for £6,000. It had a scratched bonnet otherwise OK.
I would say between £4-6k would be a reasonable price, depending on work (expense) required, history and general condition.

PS: I have a pair of door tweeters lying around if you wanted them for postage.

The prices for the 3.0’s are all over the place, seen as low as 2K right upto M money , just pay what you think it’s worth and not what you hope it’s going to fetch in a few years time.
As for the auto , I think they’re great , my wife’s is easier to get away quicker than my E86!

Hi Peter, our every day cars have been automatics for years, and loved them I had my first auto in 1971 which was a Humber Imperial.
I got my first Z in 2015 a red 1.9 which I loved and 3 years later i got my current Titan silver 3.0 which is a great car but since selling my red one I have always longed to get a red 3.0 but very few about and the ones that I went after either I was beaten to it or they were red rusty underneneath and the one that I am interested in is more than Pond paid for his in Oct 23, so at the moment think I will offer a lower price. Geoff

Two things would put me off:
1. It's auto. A sports car should have manual transmission. Other views are available, but they are wrong!
2. Most importantly, given the missing speaker, prop shaft issue, bodged paint touch up makes me wonder what else is wrong/has been done on a "shoestring".
Just my thoughts of course! :)

Hi Ian I agree with you but at 80 years old I am now not a racer just a plodder if my wife is with me. The current owner has had the cat for a couple of years, when my son went to view the car yesterday he saw that the seller had a few classic cars and my son did a ehicle check which revealed that the car was in France for 10/12 years and only did 800 odd miles. The popshaft bearing cost is just under £100 plus fitting, and Pond has the small door speekers and I have asked for a good pic of the bonnet touched up area which I will show to my friend who has his own body repair shop and get a price. My son has meet the seller before in connection with his buiness and his nephew worked for my son last year and doe feel that the car is a good genuine car but if I decide to buy I will travel the 4/5 hours and see for myself what I think just trying to get a feel for auto prices as they seem to be lower than manuals. With regards to my other post and based on this info I'd go in at £4.5k and go from there.

The auto sport is great to drive, I love it. The car is not perfect but overall it is in very good condition. A good clean both inside and out a little bit of touch up paint for the odd chip/scratch and a good treatment for the sport seats, any recom4endations for a good cleaner. Geoff
