I think there will be lots of complaints about the event. It took me 40 mins to get there from Teesside and then over an hour to travel the last mile or so, luckily I accidently took a short cut as some drivers ended up taking two hours to travel the last bit from the Ripon road. The organisers had set up on the day so that the show cars came in the "exit", this was single file and was totally bottle necked at the crossroad in the show area. At times we were stationary for 10 mins with engines switched off, which is unacceptable. The odd show car that came in the main entrance got straight in!!
Nick Thomas from BMWCCNE recognised the problem and eventually got the organisers to allow the German cars to turn off early to the left and not have to go down to the crossroads, instantly things started moving quicker. Hopefully the organisers will take on board these entrance problems as quite a few owners were saying they wouldn't be coming back unless they addressed the huge entering delays.
The show itself was very good I had a good wander, although I never got to any trade stands. Had a few people asking what model of BMW the Z3 M Coupe was as they had never seen one before. We had three genuine M Coupes and one look alike (a imported RHD 2.8 Coupe with M bits grafted on. See pics below.

Shame as it spoils the whole day Pete.
Last year at Clumber Park was dreadful for the people showing their cars as we were sent through the forest on very dry and dusty dirt roads.:(:(.
If it wasn't for people showing their cars they wouldn't have a show in the first place.

Tony.

Once we got in, it wasn't too bad a day.

Joined the queue to get in at about 9.45 and got parked around 11.30 although there was no room on the stand with the rest of the Z's.

Something will need doing about the entry if we are to repeat for next spring. It seems the number of attendees was far beyond what the organisers could cope with.

There were a lot of places where clubs or organisations had run out of space and cars seemed to be scattered everywhere.

And, I don't know if it's just me getting old and grumpy but I want to look at nice cars with like minded enthusiasts, not have the bass from someone's stereo thudding so hard in my chest it was dictating my heartbeat or listen to some kn*b constantly revving and making his AMG CLA pop and backfire!

I don't know if we missed the trade stands but all we saw was a guy selling old toy cars, a leather restoration stall and autosmart cleaning products.
