Here's the current pricing, Tony.

I'm sure i've seen some discount codes somewhere, probably from a YouTuber.

Would it be better for me to buy a Foxwell scanner or a Carly? I'd like some coding options as well as decent code reading.

The plug is about £50 and the annual subscription is between £60 and £73 depending on the features you want..

Ouch, quite a few of us have Carly but bought it before they introduced the subscription service. One of the most used readers in the shed. 2003-Z4 onward you can program new functions etc. Also very good for Z3, clearing airbag lights and looking at the ABS system albeit limited.

I read the title and thought it was a cousin of Peppa Pig

Have a look at bimmercode. Very similar to Carly but has a one of subscription around £30. I've used it on a Z4 and a 1 series to do some coding. You need an OBD adaptor but if you already have one for the Carly it may work. Cost me about £60 for an adaptor and bimmercode, was well worth it for what I managed to code and it will come in handy in the future.
