Hi, could anyone tell me if the Carly code checker/programmer would code my Z4 (metal folding roof) to close. The key fob only opens it.
Thanks

This can't be done with the Carly to a standard E89. I believe it requires the Comfort Access Pack or a third party roof module.
The E89 roof will only open from the key fob.

You can close it from the outside using the key in the drivers door lock

Just needs the 3rd party module for it to close off the fob but it is extremely expensive for the e89

Not heard of that method before. What's the process?

Although it's probably just as easy, and more comfortable, to sit in the car for a couple of minutes longer and close it using the button.

Take the key out of the fob insert into the lock and turn to lock and hold in the lock position until the roof is up. Its handy on times if you have left the car roof down, saves you getting back in.

Agree if you are putting the roof up when you stop, I don't always if I'm parking on the drive and its a hot day.

Gave it a try, didn't work on ours.

The key locked everything as it should, stood there for quite a while holding it, but nothing.
