Looking to get the car back on the road in a few weeks and have been doing the most boring and painstaking job in the world... looking for insurance.

It's a 1999 2.8 auto low mileage car est value £6000

For the quotes I have been giving 5000 miles usage per year, and the most competitive so far have been:

Classic Line £296

Heritage £315

Heritage also stated that if I drop to 3000 miles per year that they could reduce it to £239 but I don't know if that will be enough miles for me?

Anyone else got any suggestions / recommendations for companies?

@BMBabe! I'm not with Staceys firm but don't pay anything like your being quoted. I'm with esure and pay £189 on 3000 miles per annum.

Got mine for around £210 with Esure. I think I put in 8000 a year.

Just got quoted £409 with esure for 5000 miles per year!!!!

58 years of age, no convictions or claims.. because its my second car it only has 3 years NCD

If you're over 50 try Saga. I paid £157.00 fully comp, me and the wife to drive and 10000 miles per annum. Mine is a 2.8 Auto too

Strange because I'm exactly the same except 44 years of age. Second car with 3 years no claims.
