You need to get down to a scrapyard tomorrow and get a couple of panels to practice on.... :-bd

Once you've mastered it you could get a spot on QVC :p

Showed a work colleague your car today on the zedfest pictures thread, never seen a Z3 with a hardtop - he was very impressed, he muttered something about the lines being nice .... now where have I heard that before... he also said silver is a nice colour.

Hello all,

Spent sunday afternoon with Mike (Enthuziast) and a fantastic guy ive been speaking to on the cleanyourcar forum (Peter).

Peter brought over 3 or 4 boxes full of detailing products, from polishing pads through to micro brushes.

Ive not seen so many waxes, polishes, glazes, wheel products, snow foam and lance equipment.

We spent the afternoon getting to grips with the da polisher (its great) on the rovers bonnet.

we used different polishes and cutting pads followed by finishing pads (this was after looking at and trying out wheel cleaners, degreasers, window cleaners etc)

We applied 5 different wax types (yes you could see the difference) to different places on the bonnet.

The best effect (wet look) was achieved by using Scholl Vintage wax.

The funny thing was the most common market products AG and Meguires were no where to be seen!

It will be a slow learning curve but it is very interesting and i intend to learn as much as possible.

I look forward to wax stock.

Mark

Scholl looks a very high quality product as is Zymol an expensive but an incredible wax
I have only used Zymol once on my car and it has lasted so long
Going by the amount I used it will last a very long time
Good on you mark

I always use Zymol when washing my car, it's better than any other product I've used.
Offyourmarks might have some opposition if marks starts up detailing
