Car cover recommendation

Hi, I live in France and am looking for a half cover for my Z3 roaster (just to cover the soft top). There don't seem to be too many to choose from. Can anyone recommend one? Does anyone have experience of the UK Custom Covers RP100GAD2 or the Comptoir de Cabriolet DC13567 (they both look identical to each other)
Any advice welcome. Nick

The custom covers ones are really good for the price. Lots of forum members have them

Thanks Ant, that's very good to know. I live in a pretty windy location, do the magnets do a good job of holding the cover in place. Is it quick to install remove? Any other comments very welcome. Best regards nick

The cover is held in place by tucking into the boot hinge and optionally the same with the bonnet. I usually just tuck mine under the wiper arms at the front. The magnets keep the sides in place and there are velcro straps that go around the wing mirrors. It’s literally 30 seconds to install or remove.

I can see the cover tucked under the boot lid now you mention it. Thanks.

I bought the universal cover (medium) from halfords. Not sure if you guys have halfords in france but surely they same cover could be found in Ebay.

Does the job just fine for me which is basically to protect the Z from bird poo, sun (when we get any), etc... handy enough

I have had one of those Custom Covers sitting outside for over 6 months. Love the thing. No leaks and no problem in the wind, both things we can get a bit of in Scotland.

2 things to watch.

Careful you don’t catch the boot seal with the cover. Early days I ended up with several litres of water in the boot. Never happened since and the boot seal is the only possible explanation.

The black can fade, we get up to 18 hours of daylight, 12 of that with the car in direct sun. I quite like the fact it’s faded as the car is silver, if I’d been half awake when I bought it I’d have bought a grey one, if that had faded even a little it would be almost a perfect match to the car.
I bought mine through ebay

Thanks Ian, That's all very reassuring. I was going to order the grey version anyway. The minor problem that I have is the cost for delivery and 'Boris tax' which adds a lot to the final cost. Its compounded because, I have spoken to UK Custom Covers, and they cant give me any idea of the 'Boris tax' but experience tells me it will be very expensive.
I assumed from their website that UK Custom Covers made their own covers but it appears that they buy them in and sell them on. I have found a French company that seems to sell the identical unit https://www.comptoirducabriolet.com/fr/ but I cannot confirm that it is identical as, like UK Custom Covers they only buy them in to order. I only mention all of this in case anyone in Europe has had similar experience.
Thanks you for your feedback. Nick

Just make sure car is clean when fitting to minimise any abrasion scratches.
As much as these covers are a good tight fit they move slightly in very stormy weather.
