Thanks for the replies guys…wow a lot has changed in 23years! This is a real world car, and can’t believe how anethetised cars have become!
Steering, much heavier than my other car, but feels way better!
Yes it’s really that small! Great for nipping in gaps, whereas my other car is way too big!
The smell! Smells like a proper old car, hot exhaust etc!! I love it!
Things on the priority list are:
Clutch…biting point is way at the top of the travel, and the pedal is very creaky…although it’s not slipping
Missing door handle surround on the drivers door inside
Full service…running a bit lumpy at idle although it’s got a sports exhaust so not sure if that would cause it?
Thermostat…the temp needle fluctuates from half to just under quarter..normally stays at quarter or just under on normal cruising I.e 50mph, around the town comes up to halfway.
Even got all the original books etc and the security cards for the alarm.
Cant wait to get stuck in!

Hi from me in north Oxfordshire. It sounds like your thermostat is stuck open from the temp readings your giving.
Thanks for the reply, I take it it should stay around the halfway mark?
Been looking at thermostats online, so they come with the housing?
Cheers danny

Yes, they come complete with the plastic housing and “O” ring seal. Simple job to change it and most likely the cause of the temp. Gauge issue.
