CAM Position Sensor and DSC light

So I took my baby (2000 BMW Z3 2.3) to get diagnosed:

1. They say I need a new CAM Position Sensor $190 (parts/labor) total.

2. The DSC light is on and needs a Pressure sensor $200 parts / $194 for labor. If this is not the issue they say it might be the AVS module or bad cables.

Anyone here know:

1. Where I can purchase a CAM position sensor and a Pressure sensor?

2. Is is hard to replace these?

If it's the inlet cam pos. sensor it's not difficult to do it you're mechanically competent. The exhaust cam pos. sensor is easy. Regards the DSC light someone better qualified will hopefully assist.

Found out that the Intake CAM sensor and o-ring needs to be replaced. Does anyone know if there is a DYI for this?

Changed the DSC sensor/solenoid on mine last week (assuming you're referring to the ones on the master cylinder), took a couple of hours but would be quicker next time, not a hard job, just takes a while to figure out what to remove to get to it. The tin plate around the master cylinder has slotted mounting holes in it, (again assuming they're the same on LHD cars) so there's no need to go snapping any of the studs. Like what I did.

It's not the same engine as yours but I changed the cam position sensor on my E36 last week as my car was running rough.

The BMW sensor was about £120 or that's what I was told and was warned not to go for the cheapest aftermarket £10 Chinese sensor as it would only last 5 minutes but I went for a £30 Delphi sensor which I got cheap on eBay and it's back up,and running as good as new with no fault codes.
So I can recommend the Delphi item for a cheap alternative.
