Calling all Titan silver owners. Help please.

Now I'll be able to order the correct paint when I respray my front panel. Thank you!
Good Luck.
When BMW repaired my boot welds it took them at least 3 attempts to match the internal colour - Why? The internal paint is a factory only paint and is not even available to BMW dealers. At least they gave me what was left over and I was able to provide some to other owners.

I think this is why I couldn't find "Arktissilber" on that colour swatch... So if BMW struggled to match then the youngsters at Halfords got no chance? .... Mmmm I am sensing a wild goose chase.... Are you a "Titansilber" owner Zed Carer?

I've been lurking the forums for a long time now -- registered just for this (Sorry mods!)

Basically, BMW uses 2 different colors for their cars, the outside paint and the one under the hood/ trunklid and some other panels

They don't use metallic paints under the hood, hence why everyone's sticker has a non metallic color labeled in little letters below the primary color.

my 2.2i is topazblue, and under the hood its black. sticker says topazblau metallic -- and schwarz in little letters.
There's a thread on bimmerforums somewhere where they're discussing boston green under the hood and how its metallic variation looks like.

Many thanks for your input Yazure and Welcome.... Glad you have confirmed this as was beginning to think this was just a short run of mixed colours... So the lower smaller text is the actual engine bay colour... From what zed Carer is saying it's a factory colour that isn't available anywhere?!? Is there not any other identifying standard (like a code) for non metallic engine bay colours?

When I get the paint mixed for my car I'll be going to an automotive paint supplier. I'll take the car with me and get them to match it. The point I was making was that I would have asked for metallic and now I know not to.

Most people have good things to say about Halfords colour matching by the way. But they only make up none stock items against a factory code. I was happy with the Seat colour they matched for me. No colour match technology though like an automotive supplier would have.
