Thanks, the price is steep, but they're doing a 65% discount at the moment and there's £48 back for my old caliper as well. £35 for the kit is tempting, but I would still have a brown caliper, not a nice silver one, unless they clean and paint easily :)

Given a wire brush in a drill or something similar they clean up quite easily. Plenty of people on here have done it, and a few coats of paint on a caliper will keep it shiny for longer than a bare new one. @Sean d changed his rear calipers for Z4 ones, apart from the bleeding seems fairly easy, and a lot cheaper if I remember rightly.

Thanks folks, I got the refurb kit from ebay and gsf came in cheapest for pads and discs - I know what I'm doing this weekend :/

I’m it was @Sean d who game this contact refurbbrakecalipers@gmail.com chap I spoken to was David and game me a rough quote of £40 each which included full refurb including powder coating with you colour of choice and if I remembered it was Sean’s Calipers’s the finish was high quality.

Wish you luck with that, have you done this sort of stuff before? Can be a bit fiddly getting the boot to stay in place while you fit the piston into the hole. And I have known people use the likes of WD40 as a lubricant whilst fitting the seals, NO NO NO. Should be a little squeezy tube of grease in the repair kit, if not use clean new brake fluid. I apologise if you already know what you're doing, but I have known people make mistakes in the past. May even have made one or two myself.:whistle:

Thanks, that's all good advice, useful for someone reading this thread later, but I'm okay with throwing spanners around, I do all my own maint on my motorbike :D
