Hi all,

Testing the waters for selling my OEM Business CD Stereo as I would prefer something with DAB and potentially Apple Car Play. eBay seems to suggest the £350-420 range, is this about right? It's in excellent, fully working condition and even includes the two plastic tabs that cover the screws. Comes with the security code and I am pretty sure I have the booklet stashed away somewhere too. It would be excellent upgrade for anyone currently rocking a tape deck, replacing a faulty unit or taking their car back to the OEM look.

(The discolouration on the right of the screen is just a reflection of my orange seatbelts 😂 )

I also have this bluetooth streaming unit which I can throw in if a prospective buyer wants it and the price is right.

Thanks
John

The price range you suggest seems to reflect the market IMO. :)

Worth being aware that there is a MG/Rover branded one also which is identical except for the branding as far as I am aware (BMW owned Rover at the time). The BMW branded one you have is likely worth a bit more than the Rover one.

You can add bluetooth to that unit & use a phone mount which is a much better solution than Apple CarPlay IMO.
Mine had an aftermarket Sony radio in when I bought it, but the OEM Business CD unit is much better audio quality - and I use with my phone all the time which means I can stream DAB radio also.

IME aftermarket DAB systems never get good reception - most give up with them and go back to using FM.

Seriously I'd consider keeping it. Carplay isn't all that, a phone screen next to your radio is far more useful - and I doubt you'll improve on the sound quality from the OEM radio, but you will risk your car being broken into for someone to nick it!
