Brian got in touch asking for a good quality sealant to be applied to his brand new 335 Touring.
Gtechniq C1 Ceramic coating I say. Great product that does what it says with very long lasting
protection and great water run off. Nice Swisswax Best of Show over the top will produce a lovely looking shine.
Booked in for Saturday as Brian needed it back on Sunday night ready for work on Monday.
I washed the car and totally decontaminated it with various solutions that will strip anything BMW put on as they were prepping it.
Got it back in the unit for drying of with a hot air blower and found thousands of tiny swirl marks. (First couple of pics).
I called Brian and he came down to have a look. Waste of time applying anything on the car with the state it was in so Brian said polish it to how it should be. This added about 10 hours extra work to the job so stayed all day Saturday and finished polishing about 10pm. The Sealant being applied needs 12 hours curing time before seeing water so this is the reason for staying late on Saturday. Went in on Sunday to finish the car ready for collection and quite pleased with results. Brian's wife said Wow so that's all I needed to hear.
To be fair to the valeters at BMW I don't really blame them as they are given so little time to prep cars before delivery to customer but then Brian told me it had been sitting at the dealers for a week before collection.
You would have thought someone would have inspected the car whilst being sat their.
Anyway, Some pictures..
