So, I was going to order my discs tonight but thought I might upgrade my front caliper and carriers, what is the most appropriate upgrade without going out of balance, thanks guys

300mm front discs are one of the most common, you don't need the calipers, just different carriers to allow for the extra clearance. You can get them off quite a few different models, Z3 3.0 and Z4 3.0 plus some E46 models. No need to change the rears as they will balance together well. Then upgrade the discs, pads and maybe get some braided hoses.
